When we pioneered video book trailers on the internet, we adopted three golden rules.
1 | your trailer must grab your reader's attention immediately and inspire them to take positive action.
2 | your trailer must be honest, decent, legal and truthful, and promise nothing that you can't deliver in your book.
3 | we must never kid ourselves we're in the movie business and produce crummy tv trailers with bad actors and lousy sets. Your trailer must be for the sole purpose of publicising your book, not video pap.
Video trailers are cheaper and more effective than any print advertising in any prestigious book review, and publishers are ecstatic about having these book trailers to exploit. They can be stand-alone, suitable for email campaigns, embedding in existing websites and posting to YouTube. They can be coded to keep track of every viewer, sender and receiver, for your mailing lists.
The entire trailer production belongs to you, including everything you see and hear and all the technical stuff behind the scenes. If we need to compose and record special music, it's all part of the deal. When we licence a specific music track, then all rights to exploit that track in your trailer belong to you.
You watched one of our book trailers, 'The Web My Slave', when you arrived on the Home Page of this website. Here are some more examples and typical costs.
Our showreel trailers are dynamic, immediate and effective. Expensive audio and special effects are kept to a minimum, allowing the viewer to focus on the identity of the author and their work.
Our smart trailers are designed to reach out from the screen and grab the viewer's emotions and imaginations. Better than that, every smart trailer comes equipped with built-in tracker routines for viral marketing campaigns and mass distribution.
Juke Box Trailers
For publishers and authors who want to publicise multiple titles and series, we deliver a customized juke box to play as many trailers for as many titles as you like. Our example features a 4-title series.
