Deus Ex Machina
We ended 2009 with a client at Number One in the best-seller charts for non-fiction, which was great. We began 2010 with a request to help a Number One best-seller in the computer game charts. Which was bizarre. Bizarre because the request was dated November 1948, or possibly 2048! It's true that here at Writers Direct we don't only help writers of books. In fact our client list includes writers of blockbuster screenplays, big fat rock albums and theatrical extravaganzas - but we've never been propositioned by a computer game writer before, especially one who doesn't plan to release anything until their hundredth birthday. The watchword seems to be DEUS EX MACHINA. So watch this space, and keep smiling.
